ASRC Aerospace is KSC's 2008 Small Business Contractor of the Year!

Award Recognizes Company’s Exceptional Technical Contributions to NASA Programs at the Kennedy Space Center

October 10, 2008 – Greenbelt, MD – ASRC Aerospace Corporation (ASRC Aerospace), a leading provider of scientific, engineering and technical services to government agencies, announced its selection by NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) as the 2008 Small Business Contractor of the Year for providing outstanding technical products and services to KSC under the University-Affiliated Spaceport Technology Development Contract (USTDC).

ASRC Aerospace is providing technical and engineering support for NASA’s transition from its Space Shuttle Program to the Constellation Program, under which the agency is building the next generation of spacecraft for human exploration throughout the solar system. The Constellation Program plans to return humans to the moon by 2020 in preparation for future journeys to Mars. ASRC Aerospace also delivers expert technology development, applied research, laboratory operations and maintenance, information and communications technology development, and other technical support services to the Space Shuttle, International Space Station, Expendable Launch Vehicle, and other NASA programs.

The NASA Small Business Industry Awards recognizes the outstanding contractors that support the space agency in achieving its missions.  ASRC Aerospace will be officially recognized for the 2008 KSC Small Business Contractor of the Year honor on October 21 in Cape Canaveral, Florida as part of NASA’s Business Expo and Small Business Awards Ceremony.
