Artic Slope World Services & ASRC Aerospace on Winning Harris TeamGREENBELT, MD, February 1, 2008 –Arctic Slope World Services (ASWS) and ASRC Aerospace Corporation (ASRC Aerospace) are core members of Harris Corporation’s Network and Space Operations and Maintenance (NSOM) contract. This essential space operations and maintenance contract was awarded to Harris Corporation by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) with a potential value of over $410M for a six and one half year period.
The Harris NSOM team will provide operations and maintenance support to the 50th Space Wing’s Air Force Satellite Control Network at locations around the world. Arctic Slope World Services will assume responsibility for three USAF remote tracking stations and three Global Positioning System (GPS) sites, situated in the Pacific and other locations around the world. ASRC Aerospace Corporation will provide technical space operations and support services at Schriever AFB in Colorado.

Under the NSOM contract, ASWS’ and ASRC Aerospace’s roles complement the support ASRC Federal Holding Company provides to multiple Department of Defense (DOD) customers. ASWS has delivered high levels of operations and maintenance services for Air Force Space Command 21st Space Wing, and for PACAF on the Alaska Radar System (ARS) and the Pacific Alaska Range Complex (PARC). ASRC Aerospace provides engineering development, operations and sustainment for the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center Space Development and Test Wing supporting complex experimental space programs.
